The holidays are here and so is the new Kyros MID7015 tablet device, the latest offering from Coby Electronics. Running the Android OS, the Kyros MID7015 tablet has already gone on sale at all major retailers in the United States. The tablet though is not a top of the line device that will stomp you with its sheer performance and style. Rather the Kyros MID7015 is a tablet that’s built to a budget and has just moderate specs to boast of. In fact, the latest Kyros MID7015 is a lot like its older sibling, the Kyros 7005 with the only distinguishing feature of the former is the presence of a directional pad placed on the right bezel which is in place of the three Home, Back, and Menu buttons that was there in the Kyros 7005.

Now coming to the tablet on hand, the Kyros MID7015 features a 7 inch TFT LCD display offering a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is powered by a Telechips TTC8902 processor running at 800 mhz and coupled to a 256 MB DDR2 RAM. On board storage amounts to 4 GB with a SD card slot provided to allow for further expansion to up to a maximum of 16 GB. It can connect to the internet via 802.11b/g WiFi and can support both 720p as well as 1080p HD quality videos with elan. The Kyros MID7015 also features a USB 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and integrated speakers. The tablet includes a high-speed HDMI, type C (mini) video port that allows for connecting to a compatible device for a nice movie viewing experience anywhere.

The tablet measures a quite convenient 7.5 x 4.75 x 0.5 while weighing in at just 0.9 pounds while a 3200mAh rechargeable Li-poly battery provides juice to the device.

“Our COBY KYROS Tablet is an innovative and powerful device that is loaded with features consumers want most, including the responsive Android operating system, high-speed wireless Internet access, YouTube™ video-sharing capability and accessibility to tons of apps,” revealed Michael Paladino, the Senior Marketing Manager at Coby Electronics while further adding: “Tablets are a highly-sought-after gift this holiday season, and we are thrilled to bring the MID7015 to market and give consumers a stylish, affordable and user-friendly option that will delight everyone on their holiday shopping list.”
